The introduction of Marquette heralds a new era of leading edge, cool climate grape varietals. Developed at the University of Minnesota’s viticultural program, this revolutionary hybrid is the child of both classical vinifera (Pinot Noir) and native North American grapevine species.
Carefully hand harvested, the 2015 vintage possesses supple notes of ripe red berries, vanilla beans, cocoa and black cherries.
This full bodied, dry red paints not only the glass but the palate with bold tannins supported by balanced acidity.
The 2015 Marquette makes a wonderful pairing for roast duck, strip steak, or earthy brie.
Gold medal winner at the 2018 All Canadian Wine Championships.
This latest vintage of our beloved blend is quite possibly our finest to date. The exceptional summer of 2017, with high heat and long dry days, provided ideal conditions for this unique blend.
Our estate Maréchal Foch and Baco Noir ripened beautifully with intense and polished flavours of dark berry, spice and tobacco. The Cabernet and Merlot sourced from Niagara add a softening touch of fruit which carries through the finish.
Try this vintage paired with bison or venison grilled alongside wild mushrooms and roots.
To celebrate the incoming summer and this lovely heat, we have decided to bring some of our 2014 Marquette out of the cellar just in time for you and the coming summer evenings. We also have a case discount for those interested in purchasing 12 bottles or more - save $49 when you buy 12!
